The 2024 USA Cheer STUNT National Championship (Division I) is headed to the campus of Transylvania University in Lexington, Kentucky, and you’ll be able to catch all the action live on FloCheer!

STUNT, specifically for female athletes, focuses on the technical and athletic components of cheer – partner stunts, pyramids, basket tosses, group jumps and tumbling – which are put together into routines. Those routines are performed by opposing teams in a head-to-head fashion, and the team that does the best job wins the round and the point.

There are four quarters of action – partner stunts, pyramids/tosses, jumps/tumbling, and team routine. 

The championship event includes four teams seeded into a bracket format. The participating teams in 2024 are defending champion California Baptist, Kentucky, the University of Tennessee at Martin, and the University of Central Arkansas.

The STUNT schedule runs from the beginning of February through April.

The 2023 Division I STUNT National Championship was held in Riverside, California, with California Baptist University winning the title.

What To Know About Transylvania University And The Beck Center

The USA Cheer STUNT National Championship for Division I heads to Transylvania University in Lexington, Kentucky, in 2024, and competition will be taking place at the Clive M. Beck Center, home to the school’s men’s and women’s basketball, volleyball, cheer and dance teams. 

The venue is 97,000 square feet and is a centerpiece of the campus. It is four stories tall and includes two full-size gyms, a fitness center, an indoor running track, batting cages, a dance/aerobics center, classrooms, labs, offices, conference rooms, and a hall-of-fame area. 

The Beck Center opened in 2002, as the Transylvania athletics programs were transitioning from NAIA to Division III. The main space for events – Don Lane Court – can seat more than 1,200 spectators.
