Ever since the start of the Level 6 International Open Large Coed division in 2016, fans from across the globe have been drawn to this division largely in part to the action-packed routines, innovative skills, and crowd-pleasing dances. The International Open Coed division made the size split in 2016 into Small and Large Coed and both divisions have been bringing the action to The Cheerleading Worlds stage ever since.

Cheer Athletics Wildcats won the first-ever International Open Large Coed World Title back in 2016, followed by The California All Stars Ghost Recon in 2nd place and The Stingray All Stars Electric in 3rd. 

The Cheer Athletics Wildcats went on to take 3rd place in 2017 and 2nd place in 2018 before switching to the Senior Open Large Coed division which they then competed in for the past 5 years. For the 2023-2024 season, the L6 Senior Open Coed Large division was no more so the Wildcats have made their way back to their roots and are vying for a title once again in L6 International Open Large Coed.

The competition among the International Open Large Coed division has been like no other with two back-to-back seasons ending in Co-World Champions. In 2019 Top Gun All Stars Double O and CheerForce Nfinity both took home the gold and then again in 2021, another tie ensued but this time between Top Gun Double O and Cheer Athletics RoyalCats. 

Even with two ties, Top Gun All Stars Double O has been on a five-year winning streak since 2018 in the L6 International Open Large Coed division.

Heading into The 2024 Cheerleading Worlds will be no different when it comes to excitement in this division. The competition among these teams has been fierce and we got an up-close look at what to expect at the NCA All-Star Nationals. Cheer Athletics Wildcats and Top Gun All Stars Double O went head to head for the first time since the Wildcats left the division in 2019. Double O took the win at NCA All-Star Nationals with two hit-zero performances.
