This year, Cheer Worlds heads back to Orlando, Florida, and the familiar ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex, which has become a gracious host for many top-tier cheer and dance events. 

The weekend also will include The Dance Worlds 2025, which is being held simultaneously at the nearby Coronado Springs Resort & Convention Center.

That’s two perfectly good reasons right there:

Thousands Of Elite Cheerleaders

Cheer Worlds now includes nearly 12,000 of the world’s best cheerleaders (on more than 560 teams) from 21 countries. 

Imagine if you went to the nearby Epcot theme park – which is based on celebrating international culture and diversity and human achievement – and each of the 11 countries represented there had its own cheerleading squad.

That’s basically what will happen on stage during the competition as each team showcases its own flair.

The Most Epic Venue

There are few sports and competition venues in the world like the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex. 

Located at Walt Disney World, the property includes 10 world-class facilities that offer athletes and fans unmatched competitive experiences for nearly any indoor or outdoor sport. Check out the complete schedule of events happening on-site.

History And Tradition

The Cheerleading Worlds debuted in 2004 with 14 teams and now welcomes more than 500 teams (over 10,500 athletes) from nearly 25 nations. As of March 8, there are 563 teams (11,883 cheerleaders) from 21 countries registered to compete in Orlando.

By tuning in, you’re not only getting a first-row seat for this year’s amazing performances, you’re also becoming a part of the event’s history.

And, like the intro to the old “ABC Wide World of Sports” used to say, “Spanning the globe to bring you the constant variety of sports. The thrill of victory, the agony of defeat. The human drama of athletic competition. …”

There’s no doubt Cheer Worlds again will be filled with thrills – and maybe some spills – but you’ll miss both if you’re not logged in!

Athleticism And Entertainment

Competitive cheer is a balance of athleticism, strength, flexibility, flair, teamwork, entertainment, spirit, choreography and passion, and while the routines may seem short, they’re packed with excitement.

You’ll get to hear incredible musical compilations and see athletes of all shapes and sizes bring life and spirt to songs that may pump you up in your own experience and endeavors. 

There will be drama and high-flying action. Your heart will skip a beat or two. You’ll hold your breath. You’ll be in awe more than you won’t. 

Beyond just the gravity-defying moves, the way all the moving pieces come together is mesmerizing – the look and feel of the team and performance, the fluid movements, the timing of the moves with the music. 

Accomplishment And Celebration

Cheer Worlds is the culmination of a year of hard work and dedication. That’s time spent rehearsing and failing and trying again. That’s going to each competition looking for the perfect routine, just to even earn a bid to Cheer Worlds.

Then, it’s putting it all together one last time on the biggest stage around. 

For some, it’ll be their first time in such a spotlight. For others, it might be the last. Win or lose, it will be emotional and inspiring, and we don’t want you to miss it!
