Large Senior Pom

The Senior Pom divisions were separated into Small and Large groups at the The Dance Worlds in 2016.

GOLD --  With strong technique and precise synchronization, Energizers Dance Team became the first-ever Senior Large Pom world champions. The power and energy that they bring to any stage is like no other! The seniors are seasoned champions and won Worlds in both 2013 and 2015. The team placed silver in 2014, and and plan to dance their way to the top in finals again this year. "It's always harder to defend something," Energizers coach Sheila Trost said. The routine the Energizers pieced together this season has a "Together We Are Complete!" theme. Keep your eyes open for the details of their staging. Trost said it's the most difficult routine she's choreographed yet!

SILVER -- Dancin' Bluebonnets claimed the silver in 2016. Other than certain technical skill foundations, Pom and Jazz are very different styles to conquer, so it takes real skill to switch it up for a different judging panel. This past year was the team's first time leaving Worlds with a medal in Pom. Can the Bluebonnets repeat their success in 2017? Don't miss them on the stage with their bright pink costumes and lime green pom color contrast!

BRONZE -- Dancer's Edge Studio earned their spot on the podium and a bronze medal in 2016. In Pom, you are rewarded for motions that are accurate, yet have speed--these dancers know how to bring that accuracy to the stage. They've been practicing long hours and are ready for another great year at The Dance Worlds!

South Coast Freestyle is another top team in this division. Their routine will stand out due to their unique theme. "We've also been focusing on having a stronger performance quality to really sell the theme and give audience members and judges a true 'bone breaking' experience!," SFA coach Morgan Beckman said.

Small Senior Pom

GOLD -- Cheers Factory from Japan took the gold at The Dance Worlds in 2016! A year ago, this team brought the crowd so much joy as they moved up in the ranks from silver in 2015. Cheers Factory is known not only for precision but also strong showmanship. They stood out in 2016 with bright pink poms and big curly hair.

SILVER -- South Coast Freestyle brought home second place in 2016. "By combining our technical strengths with strong visual Pom movements, along with a fun theme and costume, we hope to have created a routine that stands out to both the audience and judges," SCF coach Morgan Beckman said.

BRONZE -- The seniors from PACE Elite All Stars have finished in the top five almost every year they've competed at The Dance Worlds. There's some heavy competition in Small Senior Pom and PACE always fights for a top spot. Their routine in 2016 featured a sassy "gold" theme along with shiny gold poms. Their staging really helped them stand out by giving your eyes somewhere new to look every second on stage. The crowd loved PACE's tricks and multiple turns, which these seniors pulled off easily.

Open Pom

GOLD -- The talented group from Energizers Dance Team took home the gold last year for the first time in this division with a "Picture Perfect" theme. For 2017, coach and choreographer Sheila Trost came up with a "Tic-Tac-Toe" theme! Cleaning this routine starts with perfecting one dancer at a time so that every move is "picture perfect." We should expect all their X's and O's to be in line on the stage this season.

SILVER -- Since 2009, PACE Elite All Stars has dominated the Open Pom division, winning all gold medals with the exception of 2016 when they finished in second place. They have been claiming titles all season long and are strong enough to dance their way back to the top in 2017. This powerhouse group of ladies is ready to show off what they've got on stage at Worlds.

BRONZE -- South Coast Freestyle had an excellent performance at The Dance Worlds in 2016 that earned them a bronze medal and a spot on the Worlds podium.

The all girl pom team from Japan, the Golden Hawks, is ready to sharpen this division with another great routine this year. The veteran dancers on this team have experience on the Worlds stage, which will give them an advantage to overcoming the pressure in such a tough division.

Open Coed Pom

GOLD -- Rocheer & Factory All Stars are from Mexico and have a strong quantity of male dancers, which gives them great balance of representation on stage and earned them the gold in 2016. You can tell these dancers have strong technical backgrounds and take each moment seriously leading up to this prestigious event. Their intensity and strength is second to none, so it's no surprise they brought home the gold medal last year. Do they have what it takes for a repeat in 2017?

SILVER --
PACE Elite All Stars made a lasting impression that earned them silver this past season. Some dancers on this team have been bringing their talent to the Worlds stage for many years. You can expect multiple lifts and innovative choreography!

BRONZE -- Energizers pumped up the energy a year ago and brought home the bronze medal. This year they aren't playing any games… or are they? The team is bringing a billiards theme to the stage for The Dance Worlds 2017. The sole male dancer in this group plays the part of the white ball and each lady plays her own number. We are sure to be entertained by this routine with their expertise in technique and showmanship!

Dance Mania from Melbourne, FL, came in fifth place in 2016 and has brought home multiple titles this year. This group includes many athletes who coach the younger teams at the studio. They'll use their dance knowledge in the hopes of claiming one of the three U.S. finalist spots.
