Hey cheer people - we have some MAJOR moments to share with you from the official meet and greet and athlete celebration in Indianapolis, as teams and coaches attended an exclusive event to kick off The MAJORS 2018!

The 24 teams and 120 coaches were all there representing, as they dressed in their best to pose for photos in front of custom team banners, and mingle with athletes from other programs. The energy in the room was contagious, as old friends reunited and new ones broke the ice. 

Even the Stingray Steel chickens made an appearance...(all dressed up in white faux fur jackets of course.)

FUN FACT: There are 150,000 registered all star athletes in the world, and only .05% are selected to compete at the MAJORS.

After an hour of socializing, the party moved into the ballroom for a special celebration of handwork and all star cheerleading. The MAJORS videos played, and the room filled with cheers as each team was represented on the big screen. Keeping the crowd on their toes, the emcees took to the crowd interviewing a few iconic coaches.

“Always have integrity and respect for yourself,” was the advice from World Cup coach Joel Antico. She encouraged everyone in the room to ‘be a kid’ and enjoy kid things. Which was the perfect advice on a night at the MAJORS. The competitors were all given gift bags filled with goodies including custom bows (bow ties for the boys) and bluetooth speakers!

Reagan Pizzino of Cheer Extreme was given an award for attending all seven MAJORS events!

The night was filled with even more moments to remember; One of the Cheer Extreme seniors had attended The MAJORS since the start seven years ago, $15,000 was raised by the teams for St. Jude, and the Jeremi Sanders’ Scholarship was awarded to Kai Mincey! The Top Gun athlete stole the show and the hearts of every team with an acceptance speech about the importance of enjoying every moment, and learning from defeat.

Once the evening started to wind down, everyone was left with one question…What will competition day bring? We’re not sure, but the one thing we do know is…IT WILL BE MAJOR.
