5 Explosive ECE Teams To Watch At Worlds

The athletes from East Celebrity Elite know a thing or two about winning big at the Cheerleading & Dance Worlds. The program has eight globes in their trophy case, four of which are gold.

Their most recent championship title came in 2017 when M5 Bombshells dominated the Senior Medium 5 division. The memories of hearing your name called last in awards will linger in their minds as they prepare for the weekend ahead.

“The team was very prepared and very confident going into Worlds 2017,” explained the ECE coaches. “Going from 11th to second at NCA 2017 let them believe that they were a true contender in the division, which is what they kept in their brains all the way to Worlds. The leadership on the team was also very strong in 2017, leading them on the mat when the coaches could not.”

Will the reigning Senior Medium 5 Champions top the podium again in 2018?

ECE C5 Bombsquad is taking the mat this weekend in what some say is the most competitive division of the championship, Senior Medium Coed 5.

Bombsquad missed finals in 2017 by only one place and have been working hard this season to make it to the finals round in 2018. The team placed in the top 10 at NCA All-Star and is hoping their newly added choreography upgrades will give them the boost they need to make it to the top.

“Both C5 and M5 have changed a significant amount of choreography throughout their routines, looking to elevate their performances to a higher level for Worlds,” they added.

Three teams from ECE will be competing at Worlds in new divisions this weekend. FAME will take on the Senior Small Coed 5 division. The i5 Ladies are back in International Open All Girl 5 and ECE’s newest team, Legends, is competing in International Open Small Coed 5.

FAME has made some big changes to their choreography in the weeks leading up to worlds. The Small Coed team has almost an entirely new first half of their routine that is sure to impress.

"All five of our teams have worked very hard within the last two months to elevate our routines to another level. We’re all in some very talented divisions and want to do our best to keep up."

The best thing about having multiple teams at Worlds? Having a giant cheering support section for every performance and for ECE—it means the world to their athletes.

"We’re really looking forward to supporting each other, with five teams going to Worlds 2018 from ECE," said the ECE coaches. "It means putting the ups and downs of an entire season into one performance and showing the world what they can do."

Will the teams from ECE end up back on top in 2018? The ECE coaches gave it to us straight with the programs three goals:

"Put out performances that we can all be proud of first, making finals second, and grabbing a medal third."
