The Curse Has Been Lifted: Panthers Win NCA & Worlds!
The so-called curse of Senior Large All Girl has been lifted—the Cheer Athletics Panthers have won Worlds 2018!

The rumored curse of Senior Large All Girl has been lifted. Since 2005, no Large All Girl team has won both NCA All-Star Nationals and Worlds, but the Cheer Athletics Panthers have done it this weekend in Orlando, Florida!
In 2005 Maryland Twisters won both NCA and Worlds, but no one has done it since. (According to NCA's Wall of Fame—Large Senior merged with Sr. Open in 2006 and the 2005 win is also listed in Sr. Open.) Either way, this win is a big deal.
Taking home the NCA All-Star title, Panthers scored a 99.13 securing the top spot and the judges' attention. They kept that momentum going by heading into 2018 Worlds Finals in the No. 1 spot.
Hitting a zero-deduction routine, the ladies from CA Panthers took home the W and broke the so-called curse.
Fun Fact: 2004 was the first World Championship, and Cheer Athletics took home first. Now we're coming full circle with a win this year which is the 15th anniversary!
