Batman and Robin, Woody and Buzz, Beyoncé and Jay Z. It’s been proven that when two incredible talents join forces, they become unstoppable. 

That’s exactly what we see unfolding with the latest news of a gym merger between Crimson Heat All Stars and Dynasty Spirit Elite All Stars. This October, the two northeast gyms made the announcement that they would come together to create Dynasty Heat All Star Cheer And Dance.

Both gyms have built solid traditions and have a history of championship success. 

Crimson Heat was established in 2001 with the goal of providing wholesome fun and character-building experiences for young people in the Washington, D.C. metro area. Similarly, Dynasty Spirit Elite was founded a few short years later in 2009 with the goal of creating a positive outlet and enrichment opportunity for the youth in Philadelphia. 

In addition to sharing similar missions of providing rewarding experiences for the children in their communities, both programs share the same colors – red, black, and gold; and both owners are passionate about people and inspiring them to reach their full potential. 

It’s clear that this merger is a match, made in heaven. FloCheer spoke with Crimson Heat & Dynasty Spirit's owners, Veronica Burton and Daquan Johnson-Thompson, to hear more about the big merger.

“The decision to merge together was born out of a mutual desire to expand our reach and provide even greater opportunities for the children and families we serve.”

Together, Dynasty Heat All Star Cheer And Dance will field 18 talented teams comprised of 250 athletes.

The merger of the two programs is big news and the cheer and dance community has been all in showing their support.

"The outpouring of support, excitement, and encouragement has been overwhelming! So many from across our industry have reached out to say congratulations, we are proud and how can we help or how can we be a part of what you are doing. I think that is a true testament of how aligned and purposed this joint venture is."

The first combined team that will come out of this merger is Dynasty Heat 5ALARM. Formerly known as Crimson Heat 5ALARM, the team placed in the top 10 at The Cheerleading Worlds in 2018 in the brand-new Senior XSmall Level 5 division.

“We are super excited to see this group of dynamic personalities and amazing talent come together to showcase the strengths of both programs.”

While the program has not finalized their competition division for 5ALARM the season, they are looking forward to showcasing another year of action-packed choreography performed the “Dynasty Heat way.”  Whatever division 5ALARM takes on in 2019, be ready to be entertained.

Both programs have made their mark on the industry and we look forward to even greater from the combined program in the 2018-2019 Season.
