Dance Factory Strikes Gold Again In Open Coed Pom

The addition of Open Coed Pom to The Dance Worlds has provided an entirely new venue to enjoy the fast-paced world of Pom. Adding males into the mix means that there can be an entirely different kind of dynamic while still staying true to the classic aspects that are beloved by dance enthusiasts everywhere. This year, six teams from five different countries gave it their all in the quest for the elusive World Champion title.

It might not be too early to start calling Dance Factory (Mexico) a dynasty in this division. They came back to Orlando to repeat as World Champions, and they did so in decisive fashion. Donning metallic bodysuits, they looked like robotic superheroes here to save the day. They brought interesting and unique formations, and danced right through them, keeping up an incredible pace throughout. The leap sequences were insanely unified, making it even more impressive when considering the difficulty that they attempted. The Factory produced yet another hit, and they left little doubt as to whom the best in the world was.

Also putting on an impressive display in Finals and claiming the silver medal was Australia’s Pacific Elite Dance – Mystics. They performed with marching band-like precision in their formations, and they engaged with the crowd to bring the energy in the room to a fever pitch.

Also showing out with impressive performances were Strut Performing Arts, Academia de Danza Udar Chile – Union Dance Rancagua (Chile), and Team Brazil – Lotus Phoenix All-Star (Brazil). Across the board, the performances were all worthy of The Dance Worlds stage.

The Open Coed Pom division showed out in a big way, and it was a pleasure to witness. Congratulations to all of the finalists, especially Dance Factory, your World Champions!
