CJA Introduces Third World Team: Open Fire

Big news cheer fans! The Worlds program at Central Jersey All-Stars is growing!

A third team will join Team Gunz and Bombshells as CJA prepares to take on The Cheerleading Worlds 2020. Open Fire will be CJA’s newest team and they are set to take on the Senior Open Small Coed Level 6 division.

Central Jersey All-Stars Owner, Patty Ann Romero, told FloCheer the gym needed to add another Worlds team because there were so many Team Gunz & Bombshells Alumni’s that wanted to continue to cheer but had aged out of the regular Senior divisions.

CJA will be holding tryouts for Open Fire in September and in the meantime the program will be offering clinics for their athletes to train skills throughout the summer.

While the team roster has not yet been decided, Patty Ann already expects to have some strong leaders joining the team.

“We have two of our male athletes that graduated off of Team Gunz two seasons ago who also coach in our program and are NCA Staff members,” Romero explained. “They are not only super excited to get back on the competitive floor but I am so grateful that I get to coach these two amazing athletes again, they will be excellent leaders on this team.”

While Worlds seems like forever away, CJA Open Fire already has their goals set on Orlando.

“As a first-year Worlds team, our goal is to get them on the Worlds Mat and allow them to continue their passion for the sport and CJA.”
