The time of year we’ve all been waiting for is almost here! The Cheerleading Worlds 2022 is the most anticipated competition of the season and although you’ve been following your favorite teams throughout the year, anything can happen on the Worlds mat!
FloCheer is going to break down every division at The Cheerleading Worlds so that you will know what to expect in Orlando, Florida.
L6 Senior Open
Division History
The Level 6 Senior Open division was first introduced in 2019 and has been a fierce division at competitions ever since. 24 female athletes are allowed to be on the floor at a time starting from age 14 and up. In 2019, the Infinity Allstars Royals made history as the first team to claim gold in the Senior Open division.
In 2021, the top three finalists all hit zero in their Finals routines!
This year, 16 talented teams will be battling out for the championship title in Orlando, Florida.
The L6 Senior Open division is exciting to watch and we can't wait to see who will claim the top spot at The Cheerleading Worlds 2022.
The Cheerleading Worlds 2021 Results
GOLD: Central Jersey All Stars - Bombshells
Final Score: 141.1
Central Jersey All Stars opened up their 2021 routine with round-off fulls, whip fulls, and an exciting first elite stunt that featured high-to-high tic tocs. The Bombshells kept the crowd on their feet with their intense energy and fierce performance. All of this led to the Bombshells hitting zero and taking home first place and the gold medals!
SILVER: Stars Vipers - Miss Hiss
Final Score: 137.35
Stars Vipers Miss Hiss did not come to play in 2021 as they made their debut at The Cheerleading Worlds. The San Antonio team really stood out all season long taking top placements at competitions throughout the year. The team took home silver with an outstanding zero deduction routine. They wowed us all with their clean tumbling, visual choreography, and high-flying baskets.
BRONZE: The Stingray Allstars - Apple
Final Score: 132.95
Your 2021 L6 Senior Open bronze medalists were The Stingray Allstars Apple from Marietta, Georgia! The Apple Rays started their routine off strong with intense standing tumbling that led straight into their running tumbling section. They didn't stop there and continued to keep the crowd entertained with their elite stunts and exciting end pyramid.
2021 - 2022 Season Recap
Here’s a look back at some of the winners from the Level 6 Senior Open division from this season's major events! Will these teams medal at The Cheerleading Worlds 2022? We can’t wait to watch these incredible teams take the Worlds floor!
JAMfest Cheer Super Nationals
ICE Golden Girls took home the top spot at the 2022 JAMfest Cheer Super Nationals scoring a 93.7625. These ladies started their new routine off strong with powerful standing tumbling and beautiful baskets. The Golden Girls were followed by The Stingray Allstars Apple who scored a 93.2458 and taking home third with a 90.375 was Glory from Maine All Stars.
CHEERSPORT National All Star Cheerleading Championship
Seven talented teams from across the country competed in the L6 Senior Open division at CHEERSPORT and The Stingrays Allstar Apple took home first with a zero-deduction routine on Day 2 and a final score of 93.9. The team executed elite tumbling skills and powerful choreography which in turn earned them the top spot in their home state of Georgia. Behind Apple was Spirit of Texas Lady Reign scoring a 93.4958 followed by the Royals from Infinity Allstars who scored a 93.4875.
NCA All-Star National Championship
Infinity Allstars Royals opened up their routine at NCA All-Star with tons of energy and strong standing tumbling. The Royals took home first out of ten teams with a final score of 96.0667 earning them the coveted black jackets and NCA All-Star National Championship title. ICE Golden Girls took home second with a 95.6833 followed by ATA Atomic who scored a 95.65.
UCA International All Star Championship
At the 2022 UCA International All Star Championship, Infinity Allstars Royals took home first yet again scoring a 95.0917. Behind Royals, ATA Atomic finished in second place with a final score of 94.475.
Semi-Finals for the Level 6 Senior Open division will take place on April 23rd followed by Finals on Sunday, April 24th. Who will take home the Level 6 Senior Open title in 2022? Be sure to watch these teams take the floor LIVE only on FloCheer!
