You want to see the best Senior Small Coed Hip Hop teams duke it out to prove who’s the best of the best? Well, you came to the right place. The 2019 Dance Worlds was home to an incredible competition between some serious Hip Hop powerhouses. We started the weekend with 11 teams, and finished with a battle royale between the six best in Finals. It was an incredible matchup, and the teams kept it extremely close to earn a spot on the podium.

Senior Large Hip Hop was shaping up to be an interesting battle from the moment The 2019 Dance Worlds began. There were so many teams in Orlando who had the goods to challenge for gold that it wasn’t clear who would be the frontrunner in this difficult division. Fourteen incredible teams began the journey in Prelims, and seven qualified for the Final round where we witnessed a stone-cold fight for the medals.
Out of all of the divisions at The 2019 Dance Worlds, the closest was Senior Small Hip Hop. After Prelims, any of the top 13 teams were in reach of a podium spot. In Hip Hop, as always, the harder you hit, the better spot you get. All of the teams who placed in the top five in 2018 were back in the top 10 heading into Finals. These teams threw down for their chance at a world title, and it was one of the most epic showdowns of the entire event.

The Junior Dance division is always a fan favorite because it’s an opportunity to see the future of dance. Don’t be fooled by their ages—these kids can do everything that the older dancers can do, and sometimes even more. The most interesting thing about the division is it encompasses different genres of dance, requiring teams to be versatile.
The Open Jazz division at The 2019 Dance Worlds was a beautiful display of the freedom of movement and expression through dance. The Jazz category allows for so much interpretation, and our finalists came through with originality. Sixteen teams competed in the Finals, representing for eleven countries, and their routines were as unique as they were fantastic.
The Open Kick division made its debut at The 2019 Dance Worlds, and it did not disappoint. Five teams are vying for the World Champion title this weekend, and Day 1 was a showcase of what we can expect from this division for many years to come. It’s hard to determine exactly what the Open Kick division really is because there are so many components to it that teams get to play around with. In Prelims, each team came with a unique and individual idea and performed it with excellence and pride. If there was an ever a division that we’d call “pure fun”, it’d be this one!
The addition of Open Coed Pom to The Dance Worlds has provided an entirely new venue to enjoy the fast-paced world of Pom. Adding males into the mix means that there can be an entirely different kind of dynamic while still staying true to the classic aspects that are beloved by dance enthusiasts everywhere. This year, six teams from five different countries gave it their all in the quest for the elusive World Champion title.
The Open Coed Jazz division provided some of the most unique and wild performances of The 2019 Dance Worlds, highlighted by each of the top-10 teams bringing something special to the floor. The international flair in this division is what makes it so unpredictable, as well as one of the most fun to watch. Ten teams from six different countries came to Orlando in search of gold, and it was a showdown for the ages.
Open Coed Elite Hip Hop was a masterful display of the best parts of the Hip Hop genre, combined with some incredible themes and concepts. There was every version of Hip Hop imaginable within this Final, and the crowd was treated to some seriously epic performances. Twelve teams from seven countries stepped up to the big stage, and the fight for the gold was a good one!
Twenty-six teams took the floor for the Preliminary competition in the Senior Small Jazz division at The 2019 Dance Worlds. Jazz can tend to be one of the broader dance styles, which allows for a wide range of interpretations. This division featured all sorts of varying speeds, levels of drama, and completely different emotional tones. When all was said and done, every emotion under the sun had been felt, and these 26 teams each had their chance to leave an impression.

The first World Champion of The 2019 Dance Worlds was crowned Sunday afternoon after teams from across the globe vied for the gold medal in this incredibly prestigious division. In the end, teams from five countries made the top 10, continuing a strong international presence in this category.
If you came to The Dance Worlds 2019 to find stunningly beautiful dancing, then look no further than the Open Contemporary/Lyrical division. Twenty-five teams from across the globe took the floor today in search of a spot in Finals, and there was no shortage of drama and emotion in this division—the teams delivered performances that would melt even the coldest of hearts.
The Open Male Hip Hop division is always a fan favorite, and these competitors delivered on that by bringing their best stuff to Orlando at The 2019 Dance Worlds. The division featured four extremely talented and exciting squads, and there was no clear frontrunner heading into the final round. It was an incredibly tight battle, and each team made a strong case for a top podium finish.
A whopping 27 teams competed today in the Prelims for Senior Small Pom at The 2019 Dance Worlds. Going in, there was no clear favorite, because the talent in this division is out of this world (no pun intended). There were themes, costumes, and poms of every color imaginable. The division treated the audience to an incredible display of talent, and we watched as some serious stars were born.
